Answer.
‘The Happy Prince’ was a beautiful statue. The courtiers called him happy because there was no sorrow in the palace. But he is not happy at all. He sees misery of the people around him. This makes him sad. He wants to do something for them to make them happy.

उत्तर। 'द हैप्पी प्रिंस' एक खूबसूरत मूर्ति थी। दरबारियों ने उसे खुश कहा क्योंकि महल में कोई दुःख नहीं था। लेकिन वह बिल्कुल भी खुश नहीं है। वह अपने आसपास के लोगों की दुर्दशा देखता है। इससे वह दुखी होता है। वह उन्हें खुश करने के लिए उनके लिए कुछ करना चाहता है।

The Prince sends a sapphire for the young playwright. He has to finish a play for the Director of the Theatre. But he can’t do so. There is no fire in his grate. He is hungry also. He has fainted due to it. He also sends a sapphire for the match girl. All her matches had fallen in the gutter.
उत्तर। राजकुमार युवा नाटककार के लिए नीलम भेजता है। उसे थियेटर के निदेशक के लिए एक नाटक पूरा करना है। पर वह ऐसा नहीं कर सकता। उसके भट्ठे में आग नहीं है। वह भूखा भी है। इससे वह बेहोश हो गया है। वह मैच गर्ल के लिए नीलम भी भेजता है। उसकी सारी माचिस गटर में गिर गई थी।

उत्तर। अबाबील ने शहर के ऊपर से उड़ान भरी। उसने अमीरों को उनके खूबसूरत घरों में मौज-मस्ती करते देखा। गेट पर भिखारी बैठे थे। उसने भूखे बच्चों के सफेद चेहरे देखे। उसने चौकीदार को दो भूखे लड़कों को भाग जाने के लिए कहते हुए भी देखा।

Answer.
The swallow did what the Happy Prince had told him to do. He took out the sapphires from the statue of the Prince. He went blind due to this. So he couldn’t see. The swallow did not leave the Prince in his blindness. So he did not go to Egypt.
उत्तर। अबाबील ने वही किया जो हैप्पी प्रिंस ने उससे करने को कहा था। उसने राजकुमार की मूर्ति से नीलम निकाल लिया। इससे वह अंधे हो गए। इसलिए वह देख नहीं पाया। अबाबील ने राजकुमार को उसके अंधेपन में नहीं छोड़ा। इसलिए वह मिस्र नहीं गया।
